Notice is hereby given that a request for a Variance was received on 10/14/13 from Wilbur-Ellis Co., PO Box 511, Yuba City, CA 95992, (Contact: Columbia Northwest Engineering, 249 North Elder Street, Moses Lake, WA) and was found to be Technically Complete and preliminarily appears to be consistent with the Unified Development Code and other applicable State and local requirements as of 10/29/13. PROJECT: The applicant is seeking a Variance to GCC 23.08.370, Storage and Sale of Fertilizer, Pesticides, Herbicides, Soil Sterilants and Fumigants (a)(2), which requires a 50 feet setback from all property lines. The applicant is requesting a 29.97 foot setback to the rear property line. SEPA: Exempt. ADDITIONAL PERMITS: Discretionary. STUDIES REQUIRED: None. LOCATION: The property is located on Road 1.3 SE at the intersection with Road O SE. The site is located in the north half of Section 9, Township 18 North, Range 29 East, W.M., Grant County, WA. ZONING: Rural Light Industrial. Required mitigation will be pursuant to UDC. OPEN RECORD PUBLIC HEARING: Hearing Examiner, 12:00 pm, December 11, 2013, in Commissioners’ Hearing Room of Grant County Courthouse in Ephrata, WA. At this time any person(s) may appear and provide testimony.
