ATS recognized for HazMat program

EVERETT - Aviation Technical Services' hazardous materials management program recently earned the company some recognition.

The North American Hazardous Materials Management Association named ATS as the Northwest Regional winner of its Exemplary Program/Project Innovation Award. The company was the only winner in the category among other corporations and government entities in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington, according to an ATS release.

The nomination was the results of a state Department of Ecology inspection program.

ATS is based in Everett. The company expanded operations to Grant County earlier this year.
