ROYAL CITY - Warden closed its regular season with a win in three games (25-14, 28-26, 27-25} over Royal Tuesday night.

The win locks the Cougars into fourth place in the South Central Athletic Conference East division at 6-6 and improves its overall record to 6-8.

"It was a hard fought match tonight as Royal gave our girls all they (could) handle in a very close contest," head coach Dennis Treat said. "End of game serving helped in a big way with Laurissa Kisler making ten straight serves in set one to help us pull away after being tied at 14-14."

As the No. 4 seed from the East division, Warden will travel to face the No. 1 seed from the West, which will either be Zillah or Naches Valley depending on the result of tonight's matches.

Treat was encouraged with how his team served against the Knights.

"It was good to see our players hit key serves in a row in the match tonight," he said. "Serving has been inconsistent at times this season."

Middle hitter Selena Landeros led Warden's offense with six kills, two blocks and three aces. Setter Laurissa Kisler recorded a double-double with 18 assists, 18 digs, seven aces and one kill.
