Moses Lake beats Eisenhower, 6-1

YAKIMA - Moses Lake continued its run through league play Tuesday beating Eisenhower 6-1.
"Our offense got back on track last night with a successful win against Ike at Marquette Stadium," head coach Ric Char said.
The win keeps the Chiefs' unblemished record in Columbia Basin Big 9 play intact at 9-0 and improves their overall record to 10-4.
"Assists from McKenna Walker, Emma Deering, Megan Roughan, Stephanie (Overland) and Alysha (Overland) made it a balanced attack of set pieces, high pressure defense, and crosses," Char said.
The Chiefs have now won six matches in a row and clinched the Big 9 championship Oct. 22 against Wenatchee.
Moses Lake jumped on the Cadets early when Stephanie found the back of the net off a corner kick from Walker with a little under 26 minutes remaining in the first half. Senior forward Caylah Lunning added to the lead with a goal of her own off an assists from Stephanie.
Lunning, who typically sets up her teammates for scoring opportunities and leads the Chiefs with 13 assists, finished with two goals on the day.
After Alysha's 22nd goal of the season with just seconds remaining in the half, the Chiefs led 3-1 going into the break.
Alysha scored her second goal of the match with just under 30 minutes remaining in the second half. Her two goals against Eisenhower brought her total to 23 for the season, tying the school record.
Stephanie and Lunning added another goal each and Moses Lake continued its run of dominance with a 6-1 victory.
The Chiefs close the regular season against Davis in Yakima today at 4 p.m. The first round of the district tournament will be held at Lion's Field Nov. 5 against either Davis or Eastmont, depending on today's results.
