Relay for Life 2013 approaches

| May 31, 2013 6:00 AM

We know far too many people whose lives have been touched by cancer. Chances are, you know them too. That's why we're taking action against cancer by supporting the American Cancer Society Relay For Life event right here in Moses Lake.

Relay is not a race but it is an overnight event that unites our community in a common effort to raise much-needed funds for cancer research, education, advocacy, and patient services. Every year, the funds we raise help bring the American Cancer Society one step closer to eliminating cancer from our lives for good, but we can't stop now, because there is no finish line until we find a cure.

We hope you'll be able to join us for this year's event, our 25th Relay For Life in Moses Lake. The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. on July 19 at the Grant County Fairgrounds. If you can't join us, will you please make a donation to support our efforts? Either way, you will make a real difference in the lives of people facing cancer - and in the lives of the people who love them. Visit www.relayforlife.org/moseslakewa to make a donation, register to participate, sign up a survivor or purchase a luminary to honor someone who has been touched by cancer.

Thank you in advance for anything you can do.

Let's finish the fight!
