Tire problem causes injury accident

QUINCY - A tire malfunction caused a car crash on May 18 that injured in Quincy man near Quincy, the Washington State Patrol reports.

The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. about 7 miles east of Quincy. Excessive speed and DUI were a factor, the Washington State Patrol said.

Javier Guzman, 25, of Quincy was driving a 2004 Honda Accord westbound on Highway 28 when the right rear tire malfunction. The car went out of control and left the roadway to the left. It rolled and came to rest on its wheels in a field.

Guzman was wearing a safety restraint, but he was ejected and injured. He was airlifted to Central Washington Hospital. His car was towed away by Randy's towing.
