Linda Kay Metzker

Linda Kay Metzker, age 70, resident of Moses Lake, Washington ended her journey on May 23, 2013 at her home surrounded by her husband and her loving family. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Kayser's Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28 at Kayser's Chapel with Chaplain Mark Bassett officiating. Interment will follow at Guarding Angels Cemetery, 2595 Road L NE, Moses Lake. Please sign the online guestbook or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com. She was born August 15, 1942 in Madera, California to John T. Barnes and Hattie Small.

Linda had two brothers, Thomas Barnes and John T. Barnes (Butch) and her sister, Shirley Zimmerman. During her childhood she lived in California and then moved to the Yakima Valley.

There she married John Metzker, Sr. in Union Gap, Washington on July 8, 1960.

She enjoyed life and most of all she loved her family. She looked forward to trips to the Casino, BBQ of Carne Asada, biscuits and gravy, and yard selling. She loved her three little Chihuahuas and her smooshies from Dutch Brothers.

Her parents, her older brother and her sister preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 52 years John Metzker, Sr., and their six children, Kathy (Larry), Pamala (Marlin), Gary (Marlene), Sandy (Nat), John Jr., Howard (Melissa) as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Most importantly, her baby brother John T. Barnes (Butch) survives her.

She was loved and cared for by her special friend (Caregiver) Thea Bentz for the past five years.

Mom you are our Guardian Angel now watching over all of us. This is not goodbye; this is "see you later."
