Circus tickets on sale in Royal City

| May 24, 2013 6:00 AM

ROYAL CITY - Tickets have gone on sale for the Culpepper and Meriweather Circus that will be in Royal City on Saturday, June 8.

They are available at Mac's Mocha, Royal City Harvest Foods and Sandoval's Market.

Advance tickets are $6 for children 2-11 and Seniors and $10 for adult and children 12 and up. Children under 2 attend free of charge.

There are two reasons to buy advance tickets, according to Harvest Foods' Leslie Fanning. The first is they cost $1 less for children and $3 less for adults than the day of the circus.

"The second reason is that Royal City SummerFest, the sponsoring organization, gets a bigger percentage of the ticket sales that are sold in advance," Fanning said. "If 100 adult tickets are advance sold, SummerFest is credited back the signing fee that is required to bring the circus to town."

Theresa Eilers, Red Rock Principal, and Dain Craver, orchardist and businessman man about humor, will be the guest ringmasters for the 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. shows.

The advance clown will be in Royal City on Monday, June 3. She is currently scheduled to visit Red Rock Elementary and Perla Garcia's DayCare.

If you would like to have Skeeter, the clown, visit your daycare, contact Fanning at 346-2332.
