MOSES LAKE – A 28-year-old Moses Lake man died on May 13 from injuries suffered during a motorcycle crash the afternoon of the same day.

According to Grant County Sheriff Tom Jones, Jonathan Jones was driving a 1983 Honda Nighthawk northbound on 22nd Avenue NE east of Patton Boulevard around 5:25 p.m. Monday, May 13 when the crash occurred.

While going through a sweeping curve, Jones lost control of the motorcycle, struck a curb, was ejected from the motorcycle and struck a concrete block along the side of the road, the Sheriff said. ?

Jones was found unconscious and unresponsive. Bystanders and emergency responders gave CPR and other life-saving measures, but Jones’ injuries were too severe and he died a short time later at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake. ?

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Grant County Sheriff’s Motor Traffic Unit. Jones was wearing a helmet. The motorcycle was destroyed.
