MOSES LAKE - A suspected drunk driver drove through a brick pillar, onto a driveway and stopped just before hitting a home in Moses Lake Friday morning.

Casey J. Hudson, 22, was traveling south on the 1000 block of West Edgewater Lane in a 2008 Ford Escape SUV about 4 a.m. Friday, according to Moses Lake police. Hudson was allegedly driving at a high rate of speed and collided with a decorative brick pillar at an Edgewater Lane home.

The vehicle continued through the pillar and onto the driveway of the home, stopping just before the garage, according to reports. The brick pillar was severally damaged and debris from the pillar went airborne when the vehicle struck it. The debris hit the three garage doors, causing further damage to the property.

Hudson had a visible laceration on his cheek but refused treatment from EMS, according to reports.

He was placed into custody and transported to the police department for processing. Hudson was issued a criminal citation for DUI and released to a responsible person.

The front driver side of the vehicle was severely damaged. The airbag deployed in the crash.
