Girls golf second at district

WENATCHEE - The Chiefs wrapped up the 2013 season with a second place finish in the 4A Big 9 District Championships at the Wenatchee Golf and Country Club May 13.

Wenatchee won the title, Eastmont placed third, Davis was fourth, and Eisenhower, fifth.

Mikayla Chavez and Megan O'Neil turned in the best round for Moses Lake with a 110, which tied them for the seventh best score of the match.

Terrin Utter was one stroke back with a 111, Katrina Ulnick finished 19th with a 127, Maddie Tudor placed 21st with a 132, and Emily Dennis ended her round in the 25th spot with a 169.

Carly Bozett from Wenatchee was the low round medalist with a 91.

The Chiefs do not have a golfer moving on to State as only the top six qualify for the tournament.
