Bonnie Jean Davis

Mom, with tear-filled eyes we watched as you suffered and faded away. With all the love we have for you, we could not make you stay. Your heart of gold stopped beating, hard-working hands they rest. Although our tears fall freely, we know you are at peace, at last.

Bonnie Jean Davis, 76, of Ephrata, WA and formerly of the Wenatchee valley, lost a long battle with Lupus on Wednesday May 8, 2013. She was born Oct. 12, 1936 in Sedro Woolley, WA to Elvin P. and Mary L. Aarestad. She graduated from Grand Coulee High School in 1954 and later attended Kinman Business University and Wenatchee Valley College. She had worked for various local employers, including the Edelweiss Restaurant, Motel Lyon, the Elks Club, Medical Services Corp, Wenatchee Valley Clinic, and Columbia Basin Hospital.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Daniel L. Davis, of Ephrata; sons, Michael Schuyleman (Janet), James Schuyleman (Judy), and Garry Schuyleman, all of Wenatchee; son, David Schuyleman, of Moses Lake; daughter, Mary Schuyleman, of Ephrata; brother, Murray L. Aarestad of Boise, ID; sisters Betty J. Pitts, of Ephrata, WA; Eunice P. Lyon, of Cave Junction, OR, and Reta E. Palmer, of Bonne Terre, MO; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ray E. Aarestad; and grandson, Benjamin J. Schuyleman.

Services for Bonnie will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the niche wall of the Wenatchee Cemetery. A gathering to celebrate her life and share memories will follow at Wenatchee Confluence Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Lupus Foundation of America or charity of your choice. Please sign the online guestbook or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake.
