Bart Hector Sr. sweeps annual Spud Cup at ERP

EPHRATA - Bart Hector Sr. entered the track with the definite plan of winning the Con-Agra/Lamb Weston Spud Cup featuring the Pepsi Street Stocks. And win he did, placing first in Trophy, Heat and the Main events.

Neil Nelson led the field in the main event for 16 laps when Hector took the lead. With the last seven laps to go and the cars getting hot, Brad Borton out of Sumner and rookie Jim Bise gave chase to come in second and third.

In the Kim Janke State Farm Agent Youth Hornets Dylan Heer took over the lead from Diana Schaible in lap 13 to win his second main event.

Max Garza grabbed on to the lead lap and hung in to win his first main event for the Ephrata Pioneer Muffler II Pure Stocks

The Schaeffer Oil Mini Stocks ran some yellow flag racing for the first part of their main, but that didn't seem to stop JR Miner from taking the lead in lap two and just hanging on for that win.
