Sharon Gail Howe

| May 14, 2013 6:00 AM

Sharon Gail Howe, 74, of Moses Lake, and former longtime Ellensburg resident died in her home Wednesday, May 8, 2013. She was born November 10, 1938 in Seattle, WA to Harry D. and May Isabelle (Nord) Moore.

Around the age of 6-7 Sharon and her family moved to Canada at the outset of World War II, living there for a few years until returning to Seattle, where she attended school and graduated from West Seattle High School. She later attended Central Washington University in Ellensburg. She met and later married Roy Howe and they had two children son Jeff and Sally. Together they lived and farmed in the Reecer Creek area of Ellensburg for many years, and she worked during the peak harvest season at Twin City Foods.

Due to declining health, Sharon moved to Moses Lake to be closer to family. She enjoyed crocheting, perusing home décor magazines and about antiques, she was a very avid reader.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law who cared for her tenderly for the last few years here in Moses Lake, Sally and Ray Carroll, granddaughter Melissa Carroll, grandson Brian Carroll, great- grandson Timothy Carroll and great-granddaughters Katie and Cameryn Carroll, all of Moses Lake; brother and sister-in-law Gary and Lynn Moore of West Seattle, WA, nephew Jarrett and niece Charmaine.
