MOSES LAKE - Current homeowners or prospective homeowners around the Basin will converge on the Grant County Fairground this weekend for the Central Washington Home Expo.

The Grant County Fairgrounds is hosting the event, which kicks off Saturday at 10 a.m. Saturday's events run all the way until 6 p.m. and then resumes Sunday at 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The fairgrounds is located at 3953 Airway Dr. NE, Moses Lake.

Admission is free and there will be different workshops dealing with home renovation, repair and landscaping.

Corporate sponsors are the Columbia Basin Herald, Spokane Homeowner's Association and Northland Communications.

Northland Communications provides high-speed internet, cable and home phone services to residents in Grant County.

Kellee Magee, marketing manager from Northland Communications, said residents will be able to connect with vendors dealing with the set up of a house and not just construction.

According to Magee, Northland Communications is offering specials this month and new and current customers are encouraged to stop by their booth.

Information about general contractors, plumbers, electricians and landscapers will be available at the expo.

Harley Davidson and other car dealerships will be in attendance for those in the market for a new vehicle.

Outdoor equipment retailer Cabela's will also be giving away prizes.

Expected attendance is estimated to range between 3,000 and 5,000 people.
