| May 10, 2013 6:00 AM

VANTAGE – A Spokane truck driver escaped injury on April 25 when his truck crashed at the east end of the Vantage Bridge.

Neither drugs nor alcohol were involved, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Jessie R. Wooten, 67, was eastbound on the bridge in a 2009 Volvo semi with box trailer when the mishap occurred. He was wearing his seatbelt.

The truck left the roadway to the right and came to rest on and over the guard rail. The offramp to Highway 26 was closed for nearly 12 hours while the truck was unloaded and removed.

The truck was totaled. It was removed by Davis Towing.
