Lawrence D. "Larry" Hunt, Sr., 83, a Moses Lake resident passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee surrounded by family. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Kayser's Chapel. Larry was born on April 24, 1930 in Hale, Colorado. His parents, Eldie and Leona, Larry and his three brothers moved to Elk River, Idaho area. He went to a one room school until his family moved to Lewiston, Idaho. Larry served in the U.S. Navy for four years. On his return, he was employed by the United States Postal Service until his retirement. He built a nice home for his family while working full time. He loved being outdoors and with his family and friends. They all knew fishing was his passion.

Survivors include his loving companion of 18 years, Peggy Baker; one son Larry (Dawn) Hunt, Jr., Garfield, WA; two daughters, Sharon (Bill) Woltering, Garfield, WA and Valerie (Tom) Carpenter, Princeton, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter and three brothers.
