Timoteo (Tim) R. Villarreal

After a life filled with compassion for others and faith in our God, Timoteo (Tim) R. Villarreal passed away peacefully on May 5, 2013. He was born in San Perlita, Texas at home in 1936 to Geronimo and Eloisa R. Villarreal. In 1961, his family arrived in the Columbia Basin and established roots in Othello, Washington.

Tim was a self-employed truck driver for several years and later worked for various agricultural and industrial businesses. He also owned and operated a vacuum cleaner sales and repair business. He was an active member of the Catholic Church and also involved in the Knights of Columbus.

Tim is survived by his wife of 52 years Sharon (Palo) and their six children: Eloisa (Michael) Williams, Helen (Terry) Tobin, Timothy Villarreal, Michael (Bobbi Jo), Sharon (Kenny) Douglass, Sarah (Joe) Valdez; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. He is also survived by his siblings: Julian, Wanda, Joe, Mary, Eloisa, Jerry, Stella, Ruby and Raymond; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Geronimo and Eloisa; his brother, Santos; and, his sister, Margie.

During his final years, Tim endured the progression of Parkinson's disease with courage and strong faith in a life unshackled by his earthly body. His family is grateful for the love, compassion and care provided by Hearthstone and Columbia Crest care facilities during this time.

A Rosary will take place on Thursday, May 9 at 8:00 p.m. and a Funeral Mass to celebrate his life on Friday, May 10 at 11:00 a.m. All services will take place at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 200 N. Dale Road, Moses Lake, Washington. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Knights of Columbus in care of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
