EPHRATA - A Quincy man was recently sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to raping a 14-year-old girl.

Rafael A. Herrejon Lopez, 20, was convicted on four counts of third-degree child rape in Grant County Superior Court.

According to court documents, Herrejon Lopez was first charged with first-degree rape, first-degree kidnapping and two counts of third-degree child rape.

Grant County Superior Court Judge John Knodell sided with the prosecution's recommendation of a five-year sentence.

According to the police report, the victim began dating Herrejon Lopez in February 2012. Herrejon Lopez reportedly called the victim and asked her to meet him.

The victim got into a car with Herrejon Lopez. While they were driving he told her he wanted to have sex with her.

After the victim said she didn't want to have sex, Herrejon Lopez drove them to an orchard, hid his car and raped her.

According to a supplemental report, Herrejon Lopez reportedly also had a relationship with a different 14-year-old girl in 2011. However, she reported to Quincy police they had consensual sex.
