All PUD utility poles slated for servicing

| May 4, 2013 6:00 AM

EPHRATA - Starting in early May, workers from Mi-TECH will be performing contracted service on Grant PUD utility poles throughout the PUD's service area.

The workers will be in the Royal Slope, Ephrata and Quincy areas. They will be hammering on poles, digging around the poles at least two feet below the surface and applying treatments.

All work is being done at the request of Grant PUD to ensure the safety of the public and the reliability of the electric service. The project is expected to run through July.

All Grant PUD utility poles in Royal, Ephrata and Quincy areas will be serviced. This means Mi-TECH crew members will need to service poles located on public and private property.

Questions about the pole servicing should be directed to Melvin H. Smith, Grant PUD standards assistant, (509) 754-5028.
