Alicia Ramirez-Arousa

Alicia Ramirez-Arousa, was born January 20, 1929 in Charotte, Texas. She is the daughter of the late Cristobal Ramirez and Trina Castro Ramirez. She married Guadalupe Luna Arousa on December 28, 1950 in Hondo, Texas. On February 13, 1951 they ventured across the nation and eventually made their home in Warden and later Moses Lake, Washington. Alicia was a very warm hearted, spiritual, family orientated woman. She had a hard working spirit who was always surrounded around numerous family and friends, that she greatly enjoyed entertaining and cooking for. She is the best cook ever, and her smile and laughter would leave you warm for days. Alicia enjoyed her family and friends very much. She also enjoyed her flowers and vegetable garden, chickens, goats, emus, her beloved dog bullet and her cat black diamond. Some of her hobbies included: crocheting, collecting elephants, card games, and traveling.

Alicia Ramirez-Arousa, 84 was welcomed into heaven, on April 29, 2013. She was surrounded with many loving family members as she passed away in her home. She was preceded in death by her father Cristobal Ramirez, her mother Trina Ramirez, her brother Rodolfo Ramirez, a daughter Linda Arousa, two grandchildren: Manual and Amy, and two great grandchildren: Elizabeth and Isaiah.

Survivors of her family include her husband, Guadalupe Luna Arousa, of 62 years of marriage, and her beloved children: Susan (Pete), Stella (Gary), Lupe (Fred), Willie (Stella), April Mary (Rick), John, Sylvia, Rick (Shara), and Wally. Other survivors include her 28 grandchildren: Chris, Elisia Marie, Amy, Amel, Sonya, Polo, Jaime, Jeremy, Mitch, Brandon, Lisa , Esteban, Pete, Anita ,Jessica, Vanessa, Christina, Nicole, Trena, Samantha, Alex, Matthew, James, Marcus, Ricky Jr, Nicholas, Wally Jr., Abraham, and their significant others. And 42 great grandchildren: Alyssia, Adrian, Chloe, Jacelyn, Chris Jr., Cedric, Aramis, Jenavieve, Ausencio, Fin, Ivy, Hannah, Hayden, Angel, Ivan, Dylan, Desmond, Eli, Vallant, Sincere Linda, Ali, Randy Jr., Gabriel, Ezekiel, Elijah, Valarie, Karli, Nathan, Mando Jr., Myah, Niko, Nylayah, Julian Jr., Levi, Nariyah, Brandon, Alexis, Anabella, Maribelle, Aiden, Mariah, Lillyanna, and one on the way. Other numerous extended relatives include: brothers & sisters in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

We would like to extend a special thank you to all her sisters and brothers in Ward 5.

Our family would also like to extend our sincere appreciation and gratitude to our local Hospice for assisting in Alicia's needs and care and helping to keep her as comfortable as possible in her last days.

Viewing will be on Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 3 to 6:30 p.m., at Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, 831 South Pioneer Way, Moses Lake, WA.

Viewing will also be from 9 to 9:45 a.m., Friday, May 3, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Grape Drive Chapel followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Guarding Angels Cemetery, 2595 Road L NE, Moses Lake.
