PROJECT: The staff of the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission proposes to construct an ADA pathway to a fishing pier within the day-use area at Steamboat Rock State Park.

Notice is hereby given that the JARPA (Substantial Development) and SEPA DNS were received by Grant County on 04/23/13 from WA State Parks and Recreation Commission (Designated Contact: Maryellen Haggard, 270 9th Street, Suite 200, East Wenatchee, WA 98802); and were found to be technically complete on 04/23/13. The Washington State Parks and Recreation Department has already issued a Determination of Non-Significance (DNS) for this proposal. A copy of the subsequent threshold determination may be obtained upon request. PROJECT: The staff of the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission proposes to construct an ADA pathway to a fishing pier within the day-use area at Steamboat Rock State Park. The ADA pathway will be approximately 5’ wide x 270’long x 6” deep. Total excavation is less than 25 cubic yards. Impacts will be limited to the irrigated park lawn that exists within the wetland buffer in the day-use area ZONING: Public Open Space. ADDITIONAL

PERMITS REQUIRED: SEPA DNS STUDIES SUBMITTED: None.

CONSISTENCY STATEMENT: This proposal is subject to and shall be consistent with

the Grant County Code, International Building Code and International Fire Code.

LOCATION: The project is located at Steamboat State Park. In the southwest portion of Section 01, Township 27 North, Range 29 East, W.M., Grant County, WA; (Parcel #18-0944-000). PUBLIC HEARING: None. Copies of the application materials for File #13-5786 are

Box 37, Ephrata WA 98823, (509) 754-2011 extension 625; office hours are 8am – 12pm and 1pm – 5pm, Monday – Friday. Comments must be submitted no later than 5pm on June 03, 2013 to the Planning Department. All comments should be as specific as possible and may be mailed, hand delivered or sent by facsimile. All persons, agencies or tribes have the right to comment, receive notice, participate in any hearings, request a copy of the final decision, and appeal the decision as provided by law and County Code.
