EPHRATA - The body of a man found inside a camp trailer in rural Ephrata was identified Tuesday as 32-year-old Alvaro Diaz-Berto.

According to Grant County Coroner Craig Morrison, Diaz-Berto died of chronic ethanolism, which relates to the consumption of alcohol and alcoholism. Morrison completed an autopsy Tuesday afternoon.

According to police reports, Diaz-Berto had not been seen for some time. His body was found about 10:45 a.m. Monday morning in a trailer on the 15000 block of county Road 6 Northwest, about 12 miles southwest of Ephrata. A person on the property reportedly found the man's body inside the trailer and notified the family before calling law enforcement just before 3 p.m., according to police reports.

According to Kyle Foreman with the sheriff's office, Diaz-Berto had been living in the trailer on the property.

Grant County detectives were on scene Monday afternoon investigating the death, but did not find any immediate signs of foul play. According to Foreman, nothing suspicious was found during the investigation.
