FAIRGROUNDS RODEO BLEACHER PROJECT

STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES

Request For Qualifications

Grant County is seeking to contract with a certified and bonded structural engineer or structural engineering firm for the purpose of receiving: (1) a technically sound structural analysis of the Grant County Fairgrounds’ rodeo bleachers; and (2) a structural engineering design for the renovation – if practicable – or replacement of the existing bleachers. The Fairgrounds are located at 3953 Airway Drive NE in Moses Lake, Washington.

The County will enter into a professional services agreement with an individual and/or firm to be selected as part of this RFQ process. The purpose of the agreement will be to: (1) provide an analysis as to the structural integrity of the bleachers’ function and safety/serviceability and performance; (2) verify and meet all structural engineering requirements for the bleachers project, making creative and efficient use of funds, structural elements and materials to: (a) renovate the existing bleachers, if practicable, or (b) replace the existing bleachers.

Submittal requirements for the Request for Qualifications may be obtained at:

(1) The office of the Grant County Board of County Commissioners located at 35 C Street NW in Ephrata, Washington; or

(2) From the Grant Website at www.grantcountyweb.us.

The deadline for qualifications is 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20th, 2013. An original proposal and three (3) photocopies must be submitted as shown below in a sealed envelope clearly marked with project title: “GRANT COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS RODEO BLEACHER PROJECT SUBMITTAL”. Late proposals and/or proposals submitted via e-mail or facsimile will not be accepted.
