Threats lead to arrests in Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE - An alleged argument between a Moses Lake woman's ex-boyfriend and new boyfriend resulted in four men being charged with felony harassment, disorderly conduct and rioting.

It started when Alvaro Giron, 19, of Moses Lake, went to his ex-girlfriend's residence near the 1000 block of Grape Drive to pick up their child over the weekend, according to Moses Lake Police Capt. Dave Sands on Monday. At the residence was the woman's new boyfriend, Efrain Baca, 18, of Kennewick.

According to Sands, Baca is not fond of Giron and words were exchanged. The two men, as well as a friend of Baca's, Joseer Magollon, 20, of Kennewick, ended up outside to apparently fight. At this point, Giron's brother, German Giron, 21, of Moses Lake, exited a vehicle and approached the other suspects.

Each side told police the other side allegedly had knives and was threatening the others with them. The Giron brothers left the scene before anyone was injured. They were later stopped by police on Grape Drive and taken into custody.

Baca and Magollon were arrested at the Grape Drive home.

All four suspects were charged with felony harassment and disorderly conduct. Baca was also charged with second-degree assault.

According to Grant County Jail records, the four men were booked for riot with a deadly weapon, a Class C felony, and held without bail.
