Reader calls for more discussion of secondary crowding issues

| March 29, 2013 6:00 AM

I walked into a group of people talking about the upcoming school board meeting. I soon realized they were very concerned about the possible impacts of the decision being made by the school board on the secondary overcrowding issues being voted on.

I have only heard one side of this conversations, realizing I haven't been involved in the meetings like I should have been. Life is very busy for us and everybody else. But knowing we have good people serving in the District and on our school board, I haven't dug into the issues like I should have. I have trusted our District leaders to look into and thoroughly examine all avenues of recourse and then make a good decision for the community.

As I listened to the discussions taking place, I realized there are growing concerns with parents, grandparents and other citizens within our District. I would like to propose a continued open discussion on this a little longer since I believe there have been some things pointed out, particularly at the last meeting, issues that are bringing up some serious concerns and warrant further discussions.

Thank you for listening to my concerns over the discontent I'm hearing about within our community.
