Peninsula school goes into lockdown
MOSES LAKE – Peninsula Elementary School in Moses Lake was locked down for about five minutes Wednesday while police officers were chasing a suspect nearby.
The school went to a lockdown about 2:30 p.m. after the Moses Lake Police Department notified district officials that a foot pursuit was going on nearby, Superintendent Michele Price said. The building was locked down in case the suspect ran onto campus, Price said.
About five minutes after the lockdown began police notified district officials that the suspect had been apprehended and the school resumed regular operation, she said
