The State of Washington to the said: To Robert E. French alleged natural father of Sole Emoni Austin.

There has been filed with the Clerk of the above-named court a Petition for Adoption and Petition for Termination of Parent/Child Relationship and praying that the parent/child relationship between Robert E. French, alleged natural father, and the above-named child be terminated and that Petitioner Noe Meraz shall become the adoptive father of the minor child.

You are hereby summoned to appear on Monday, the 29th day of April, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. at the Franklin County Superior Court 1016 N. 4th Ave. Pasco WA 99301 and defend the above entitled action, and answer the Petition of the Petitioner and serve a copy of your answer upon the undersigned attorneys for Petitioner at the office below stated.

If you fail to do so, judgment may be rendered against you according to the request of the Petition.

The child, Sole Emoni Austin was born on November 15, 2002, in Kennewick, Benton County, Washington. The child’s natural mother is Keri Elizabeth Meraz (maiden name Austin). The identify of the children’s natural father is Robert E. French.

YOUR FAILURE TO APPEAR AT THE HEARING MAY RESULT IN A DEFAULT ORDER PERMANENTLY TERMINATING ALL OF YOUR RIGHTS TO THE ABOVE-NAMED CHILD.

You are further notified that any non consenting parent or alleged father has a right to be represented by an attorney, and an attorney will be appointed for an indigent parent who requests an attorney.

You are further notified that failure to respond to the termination action within thirty days of the service upon you of this notice will result in the termination of your parent child relationship with respect to the child.

You are further notified that your failure to file a claim of paternity under Chapter 26:26 RCW within thirty days of the service upon you of this notice or to respond to the petition with thirty days of the service upon you of this notice is grounds to terminate your parent-child relationship with respect to the child.

One method of filing your response and serving a copy on the petitioner is to send them by certified mail with return receipt requested.
