Goodwill recognizes Moses Lake woman

SPOKANE - The work of one Moses Lake Goodwill volunteer was recently put in the spotlight.
Carol Loop, of Moses Lake Workforce and Family Services, was one of seven people in the region to receive Goodwill's Mission Advancement Award this year. The award reflects the contributions of individuals at various Goodwill locations throughout the Inland Northwest, according to a Goodwill release.
Loop received the award during Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest's annual awards banquet earlier this month in Spokane. About 400 Goodwill volunteers and employees attended the event and celebrated the organization's success in 2012.
Loop was recognized for working exceptionally hard to bring in new services to the Moses Lake Goodwill. She also began bringing in students from special education classes at various Moses Lake schools to gain work training, according to the news release.
Goodwill also noted the support Loop gave to a partner agency.
"The dedication and drive Carol has demonstrated has helped Moses Lake Workforce and Family Services achieve the Goodwill mission and serve more individuals in 2012," read the Goodwill release.
In 2012, the Moses Lake location met its program margin by 143 percent, according to Goodwill.
