Royal students of month announced
In order: Yvette Meza (Senior), Dorothy Floren (Junior), Maria Tovar Lopez (Sophomore), Jennifer Valentine (Freshman)
ROYAL CITY - Counselor Marge Edwards has announced the names of the Royal High School students of the month for March.
The students are elected by the educational staff off a list of nominations submitted by Edwards. The nominations are based on several character traits, including academics and citizenship.
The senior SOM is Yvette Meza, daughter of Guadalupe and Noemi Meza of Royal City. Her junior counterpart is Dorothy Floren, daughter of Donald and Donna Floren of Royal City.
The sophomore SOM is Maria Tovar Lopez, daughter of Gonzalo and Magdalena Tovar of Othello. The corresponding freshman is Jennifer Valentine, daughter of Jason and Bonnie Valentine of Othello.
