MOSES LAKE – The Moses Lake Grant County Tea Party will have a meeting at the Moses Lake Fire Station at 701 E. Third, across from the senior center, next Tuesday, March 19. Clint Didier will be the speaker.

“We are moving, for this event only, to the Fire House in Moses Lake because we expect a larger number of people,” Grant County Republican Party Chairwoman Kimber Lybbert said.

Didier will announce a new community safety group he is forming to support gun ownership. He will lead a discussion focusing on Farmer and Rancher issues, legislation and actions by President Obama and how they affect agriculture.

On Saturday, March 16, there will be a precinct committee officer meeting at Grant County Public Works at the Ephrata Municipal Airport, 124 Enterprise St. SE, Ephrata.

“This is really important for current PCOs, but every interested party is welcome,” Lybbert said.

“Remember, we are still looking for new PCOs to fill vacant positions, and we always need people with tech, education, secretarial, and financial know-how to help us out.”

The Washington Policy Center is seeking to award a $5000 scholarship this year. If you know of any outstanding female college students who need a little tuition help, consider directing them to apply for the Jennifer Dunn Scholarship.

“If you are involved in Scouting, be sure to check your email for an important message regarding policy on membership requirements regarding sexual orientation,” Lybbert said. “I encourage you to fill out the survey and let your voice be heard.”
