Reader worries about country's affairs

| March 15, 2013 6:00 AM

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the original Constitution and first 12 amendments that created the republic which the flag represents. One nation, in need of divine guidance, currently with slavery and injustice for all. I pledge to help heal the Constitution, and restore the vision of the founding fathers.

If you think about our country's current situation, you will recognize that we, our children, and all future generations are in economic slavery due to the irresponsible spending of our federal and state governments.

There can be no justice from the courts when most judges, and the legislators, do not understand the definitions of words written more than 200 years ago. You need a Webster's Dictionary that dates back to the time when our Constitution was written. Both technology and our language has evolved, but the psychology of mankind has not changed significantly in the past 5,000 years.

"In questions of power, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution." - Thomas Jefferson

Those who rule our current government want absolute control. That is why they are attacking the rights given to us by our creator. Pay attention, we can heal our Constitution and our nation using the ballot box, and electing legislators and judges who will represent the people, and who have learned the true history of our country. Ask yourself why teaching our Constitution was removed from public education more than 50 years ago! Ask why John Dewey, who was a socialist and atheist, is considered the father of education in our country. We act according to what we believe, we believe according to how we are taught.
