Dora E. Gibson, was welcomed into heaven on Friday, March 1, 2013.

Dora was born in York, Nebraska, March 10, 1920, to George and Selma Heiden. She resided at the Odessa Memorial Healthcare Nursing home for the past three years. In her younger years she attended a parochial school in Benedict, Nebraska. Being a German descendant the family spoke German most of the time. She moved to Blackfoot, Idaho with family, where she began working at the U & I Sugar Factory. She met Loney W. Gibson at the sugar factory and they were married two weeks before Loney went to war in 1944. He returned home in two years, and they settled down to have a family.

Once their three children were born, Loney had a transfer to Moses Lake U & I Sugar Factory in 1953. Dora got involved with the Lutheran Church donating much of her time teaching women's bible study and Sunday school, she loved the Lord. She was involved in other activities outside the home. She was a fulltime homemaker for her family, who remember her wonderful sense of humor. She is remembered as a loving, generous, courageous inspiration to many. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were blessed to have her in their lives, she will be greatly missed.

Dora is survived by her children, Larry Gibson, Connie Hopkins, Rodger (Tina) Gibson; grandchildren, Becky (Mike) Raider, Heidi Gibson, Heather Hopkins; John (Ashley) Hopkins; five great grandchildren with one to be born in August 2013; several nieces and nephews.
