Man shot, killed

| March 12, 2013 6:00 AM

MOSES LAKE – A 60-year-old man died in a hospital Saturday night after being shot at his Moses Lake home, Sheriff Tom Jones announced on Sunday morning. ?

“Though it is early in the investigation, I'm reassuring citizens we don’t believe this was a random shooting,” Jones said.

Grant County Sheriff’s deputies were called at around 9:30 p.m. on Mar. 2 for an assault at a home in the 7700 block of Clink Road Northeast in Cascade Valley, Jones said. When they arrived they found a man who had been shot.

The man was taken to Samaritan Hospital where he died a short time later. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday, and the man’s name was to be released once the coroner had notified his family. ?

Detectives spent the entire night searching the home and interviewing witnesses. But Jones said there was little public information ready for release as of Royal Register press time.
