Michael Steven Yurian (Mike)

Michael Steven Yurian (Mike), 61, of Dunnigan California formally of Moses Lake passed away February 20, 2013 in Mesquite Nevada area while working for his employer Layne Christensen Water Drilling from Woodland California.

Mike was born June 6, 1951 at Sunnyside Washington to Kenneth and Ovella (Mitchell) Yurian. He was a loving child, good student, and was also a member of the boy scouts and played solos in the school band on the cornet. He graduated from Ritzville High School in 1969. After the family moved to Moses Lake in 1966 he worked at Dietzens grocery store as a box boy after schools and on weekends. He also worked as a Farm laborer, a crop duster helper before he went to school for welding and was hired on with Layne Weston in 1980. The company later moved to Woodland California and changed to Layne Christensen and Mike followed to continue working for them for 32 years until his passing.

He had a love for motorcycles and stock car racing. In the early '70s he raced stock car #55 at the Ephrata Speedway where he placed many times. His love for Harley motorcycles never grew old, it stemmed from his first low rider Harley to the last one he rode from California to Sturgis and then home to visit his family. Although he lived far away he always made it a point to make regular trip back home to see his parents and siblings.

He is survived by his loving mother Ovella Yurian, His daughters Andrea Paradis, Alyssa (Jeb) Pauley. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Kate Paradis, Ridge and Sierra Pauley. Mike is also survived by his brothers Rick(Jackie), Doug and one sister Cathy (John) Dominguez all of Moses Lake and also many Nieces and Nephews.

Mike was preceded by his father Kenneth Yurian (Ken) of Othello and son in law Dan Paradis of Maine.

We loved you and will miss your visits and the regular phone calls home. You will never be forgotten.

Per his request no funeral services will be held.
