PCOs needed by Republicans

| March 4, 2013 5:00 AM

MOSES LAKE – Grant County Republican Party Chairwoman Kimber Lybbert is urging party members to become precinct committee officers in her latest newsletter.

She is also thanking the members who volunteered with the recent Lincoln Day Dinner. Dinner committee members were Lucinda West, Linda Bishop, Dayna Dent, Beth Yarbro, Ann Mix, Julia Hodgon, Warren Small, Daren Flynn, Tom Dent, and Candy Erickson.

“My only regret about (Lincoln Day Dinner) night was that I didn't get a chance to meet more of you,” Lybbert said. “There wouldn't be a party without the people who breathe life into it.”

“Likewise, we can't run this party without PCOs,” she added. “And the great news is that we have some empty spots. If you think you can't possibly do it, remember that God shapes the backs for the burdens He places on them. The freedom of this nation rests in the hands of the common people and it's past time for the common people to step up and get involved.”

There is a PCO meeting set for March 16 at 1 pm. If you are not a PCO but are interested, you may contact Lybbert or former GCRP Chairwoman Dani Bolyard.

There are two other upcoming events members may be interested in putting on their calendars.

• Grant County Republican Liberty Caucus Charter Meeting Kickoff Event, Saturday, Feb. 23, 1-4 p.m. at Benson's Chapel, Moses Lake. For more information contact Susan Freeman or Dani Bolyard

• The Thomas Jefferson Center for Constitutional Studies invites you to attend the third Healing of America Study Course in Quincy on March 9.

Although this seminar focuses on the major problems facing America, there are solutions. These are contained in the principles of the Constitution, and will be discussed in the fourth and final seminar of this study course.
