Ice off bank fishing for jumbo rainbow trout is in full swing. Boat and bank Trout fishers are finding luck at Upper Goose Lake. Don't forget Upper Goose has not only trout but also many of the same species of fish that are found in Potholes Reservoir. Reports of some nice size trout have been caught on the point at the Blythe Boat launch, between MarDon Resort and the Potholes State Park.

Deep in the sand dunes of Potholes Reservoir a little ice still remains. Also, in the back waters of the Lind Coulee there are reports of ice. Walleye anglers are having very limited early season action using blade baits. Bass are very lethargic due to our cold 38 degree surface temp this time of year.
