Moses Lake 10U takes Rattler Rumble

MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake 10U Rattlers went undefeated in tournament play over the weekend to take the Rattler Rumble Softball Championship.
The team got off to a slow start Friday evening, but was able to pull out a 5-2 over the Warden Heat in Game 1.
The Rattlers bats came alive Saturday as they dominated all three of their opponents. They cruised past the Tri Cities Angels 13-1 in Game 2, shut out Ellensburg 12-0 in Game 3, and then put a hurting on Othello in Game 4, 11-1.
Four wins in pool play games gave the Rattlers the No. 1 seed heading into the championship game in a re-match with the Warden Heat Sunday afternoon.
The Rattlers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning of play, and never looked back as they hung five on the board in the second and four in the third to end the game by virtue of the 12-run mercy rule.
Jocelyn Eisen led the offensive attack for the Rattlers with two doubles and three RBI. Gabi Rios, Laurissa Martinez, Savannah Ashley, Sydney Ries, Gina Skinner and Madi Olson had one hit apiece. Ashley went three innings in the circle, striking out seven Heat batters to record the win.
