ROYAL CITY - There is still time to enter the Royal City Summerfest's Royal Renaissance Art Show, and show chairman Nancy Grant encourages everyone to do so.

SummerFest has extended the deadline for youth art to coincide with the deadline for adult art for this year's Royal Renaissance Art Show. Both deadlines are June 30.

"We're hoping that a lot of kids and adults will have their art entry ready this week," Grant said. Please complete your entry by June 30."

Art show entries will be displayed July 12-13 in the New Life Fellowship Church building next to Lions Park. Festival attendees are invited to go there and participate in the People's Choice Award voting.

The Peoples Choice Award will be determined by votes from the public on the days of display. Cash prizes for first place and a first, second, and third place ribbon in each age division will be awarded.

Except for the People's Choice Award, the judging will be done prior to the festival days, Grant said.

Entries forms may be picked up at Royal City School Libraries, Royal City Harvest Foods, or printed off at the Royal City SummerFest Facebook site.
