Hillard top field in men's golf

CRESCENT BAR – Mark Hillard was the winner of Crescent Bar Men's Day golf on June 19 when he scored a 70 in the net-only competition.

In the team low net competition Don Demuth (71), Don Wilson (73) and Joe Quintanilla (72) combined for a total score of 216.

Tom Harris won the first division closest to the pin competition at a distance of 11-3. Joe Quintanilla won the second division at a distance of 10-0.

On June 9, the men's club hosted its annual mixed foursomes and dinner. The big news of that day was Jerry Hoene's hole-in-one on hole No. 14.

The first place team, with a net 54.2, included Nancy and Nate Robertson and Chuck Muller and Muller's friend Tina.

Jerry and Eileen Hoene and John Kiehl and Jan Hagenston shot a net 57.7 for second place. Dave and Erin Harris and Doug and Julie Carl shot a net 57.9 for third place.

Fourth place went to the Team of Tom and Jan Harris and Dave and Linda Hayes with a net 58.1.

Frank Laine won the men's KP at a distance of 11-0. Elke Longwell won the women's KP at a distance of 15-6.

The games of the day on June 12 were low net of the field and KP on hole No. 5/14.

The low net winner was Jerry Riddle with a score of 67. Second low net was a tie between Ed Callahan and Russ Larson with scores of 69.

Fourth low net went to Frank Laine with a score of 71.

The winner of the KP competition was Ed Callahan at a distance of 14-0.

On June 26, the men's club will have its annual field day.

The days’ events were low net by a three man team; low net by an individual; and KP on either hole #5 or #14.

LOW NET BY AN INDIVIDUAL:

The winner is Mark Hillard who shot a net 70.

TEAM LOW NET:

The winning team shooting a combined net score of 216 are; Don DeMuth (net 71), Don Wilson (net 73), and Joe Quintinilla (net 72), for a total net score of 216.

KP ON EITHER HOLE #5 OR #14 BY Division:

Division I: Tom Harris at a distance of 11’-3”.

Division II: Joe Quintinilla at a distance of 10”-0”.
