2 males shot in Warden

| June 25, 2013 6:00 AM

WARDEN - Two males were shot Sunday night at an apartment complex in Warden and a male suspect fled the scene.

According to Warden Police Chief Rick Martin, a victim and the suspect began arguing in the apartment about 7:30 p.m. At one point, the suspect shot a small caliber handgun, hitting one victim twice and another standing nearby.

Martin said the injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening, and both victims were treated at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake.

Sunday night officers had identified a suspect but had not made any arrests. The name of the suspect was not yet released. Authorities said the shooting was a targeted incident, not random.

Warden Police was assisted by the Grant County Sheriff's Office, Moses Lake Police Department and Adams County Sheriff's Office.

Anyone with information should call 509-762-1160.
