Reader adds personal story to Sonico debate

| June 21, 2013 6:00 AM

I would like to address the people of the Port of Moses Lake on a personal level.

My husband is an employee of Sonico and has worked in Building 408 for 21 years. My family is finally getting back on our feet financially after I lost my job three years ago, when Food Pavilion closed. If my husband loses his job, we will be crippled. There are several employees or family members who are currently fighting cancer or other life-threatening illnesses that require health insurance. The state will be burdened with more people on unemployment, if Sonico is forced out of Building 408.

Please consider the bigger picture and work with the Perdues for the future of Sonico.

Thank you.
