OTHELLO - An Othello driver was injured Wednesday morning after his vehicle collided with a turning vehicle on state Route 26 near Othello.

Martin Allen Lenhart, 51, of Kent, reportedly slowed down heading west on the highway to make a left turn onto Danielson Road about 6:40 a.m., about seven miles west of Othello. He was driving a 2012 Ford F-250 pickup.

Samuel Lopez Flores, 20, also heading west on state Route 26 in a 1992 Nissan Maxima, failed to slow down and struck the pickup truck in the rear, according to the State Patrol.

Flores was injured and transported to the Othello Community Hospital. Lenhart was uninjured in the crash and was able to drive his truck from the scene. Flores' vehicle was totaled, according to the State Patrol.

It was determined Flores caused the collision and was charged with speeding too fast. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
