Soap Lake woman critical after crash

WATERVILLE - A Soap Lake woman is listed in critical condition after crashing her motorcycle east of Waterville on Sunday.

Lori L. Bowkett, 50, was injured when she was riding east on state Route 2, 22 miles east of Waterville in Douglas County. According to the State Patrol, her motorcycle, a 2012 Harley Davidson, left the road to the right and came to rest in the ditch. The accident happened about 2 p.m.

Bowkett was transported by ambulance to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee and later taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Bowlett is in the intensive care unit at Harborview, listed in critical condition as of Monday afternoon, according to a hospital spokesperson.

Bowlett was reportedly wearing a DOT approved helmet at the time of the crash.

The State Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
