Moses Lake trucker hurt in crash

SNOQUALMIE PASS – A Moses Lake trucker was injured on June 7 when the truck he was driving crashed 3 miles east of Snoqualmie Pass on Interstate 90.

The accident occurred around 5 p.m., according to the Washington State Patrol. There were no drugs or alcohol involved.

That driver, Michael J. Weaver, 40, of Moses Lake, was taken to Overlake Hospital in Bellevue by ambulance. He had been using his safety restraints.

The 2005 Freightliner with trailer that Weaver was driving was totaled. It was towed away by Willettes Towing.

According to the WSP, the vehicle was eastbound on I-90. It struck an attenuator and Jersey barrier on the right side of the roadway, rolled onto its side and blocked traffic in both eastbound lanes.
