Moses Lake girl Champion Cowgirl

COLFAX - Hannah Beeman-Chlarson was crowned the All-Around Champion Cowgirl in the Pee-Wee Girls Division (ages 6-8) competition at the recently concluded 38th Annual Colfax Junior Rodeo.

Beeman-Chlarson won the CA Stake and Goat Flanking, and placed second in Barrels and Poles to earn the top honor. The All-Around Champion Cowboy went to Caleb Berquist of LaCrosse. Berquist competed in the Intermediate Boys Division (ages 12-14), winning the Goat Tying and placing second in the Breakaway and Team Roping. He placed third in the Steer Daubing event.

Rodeo facts

Junior Rodeo contestants compete in one of five age divisions for points earned in each event. The All-Around prize goes to the highest point winning cowboy and cowgirl of the weekend. Each age division competes in six different events. Individual winners receive a custom made buckle. Funding for prizes come from donations made by local businesses and supporters of the Colfax Junior Rodeo group.
