Walleyes go 2-3 in tournament play

SPOKANE - The Walleyes dropped three of five games at the U-High Tournament at West Valley High School in Spokane over the weekend.

The team started out 0-2 having lost 8-6 to Ferris High School Thursday, and 1-0 to Kennewick despite an outstanding one-hit gem by Hunter Boyd on the mound Friday.

The Walleyes bounced back to even their record 2-2 with an 8-7 win over West Valley, and a 10-6 victory over Prairie Saturday. The team fell to 2-3 on the tournament with a 4-2 loss in a rematch with Kennewick Sunday.

The Walleyes are back in action today for a twin bill against the Dusters in Kennewick today. The first pitch is slated for 3:30 p.m.
