Sage N Sun Festival begins Thursday
People lined Basin Street of Ephrata to enjoy the Sage N Sun parade last year. The event is coming up this weekend.
EPHRATA - Bring the entire family for four days of live entertainment, food, crafts and even a parade at the 103rd Sage-N-Sun Family Festival kicking off Thursday in Ephrata.
The festivities begin Thursday afternoon, with a special needs child becoming "Chief for a Day," followed by a barbecue at 4 p.m. and dog show 5:30 p.m., both at the Senior Center at 124 C St. NW. A Rotary youth parade will conclude the day's events at 7 p.m.
The Knights of Columbus will hold a charity golf tournament Friday morning, benefiting the Crisis Pregnancy Center Right to Life of Ephrata and Moses Lake. Food and craft vendors will open at Noon Friday and live entertainment begins at 5 p.m. at the grand station at the steps of the Grant County Courthouse.
On Saturday, the Lions Fun Run will begin at 8 a.m., with registration starting at 6 a.m. at Ephrata Middle School.
The Grand Parade begins at 11 a.m., followed by opening ceremonies at the grand stage. Entertainment begins at noon Saturday, including karaoke for adults and children. Food and craft vendors will also be open.
The list of entertainers included the Line Dancing Grannies, Holly Starr, Andie Francoeur and Barry Nellums.
Saturday's events conclude with Family Day at the Races, with auto racing at the Ephrata Raceway at 7 p.m.
Food and craft vendors will be open again Sunday at noon as well as more entertainment on the grand stage.
