MOSES LAKE - Friday is your chance to meet members of the Devil's Angels and Moses Lake Bomb Squad. The two local roller derby teams are scheduled to appear at the re-opening of the Moses Lake Roller Skating Rink located at the Larson Recreation Center at 610 S. Yakima Street.

The teams will be conducting demonstrations and are available to answer questions regarding the sport of roller derby. People attending the event from 4 to 8 p.m. will have a chance to win giveaways, games and prizes.

The Devils Angels are also holding a 50/50 raffle.

"The raffle tickets are $1 each," Jessica Huntley, team treasurer, said. "The raffle winner will receive half of the money generated, and the other half will be used to help secure a winter practice facility for us,"

Children attending the opening will be given an opportunity to participate in a "sock derby" session to learn the ins and outs, without skates.

Roller skate rentals will be available for $5. Participants can also bring their own skates.

The Devil's Angels are looking for skaters, referees, officials (both skating and non-skating) and sponsors. The team is a not for profit organization.
