Louise Forsberg

Louise Forsberg, beloved wife and mother, passed away Wednesday May 29, 2013 at Crystal Springs Adult Family Home surrounded by family. Louise was born February 25, 1920 in Columbus Junction, Iowa to Arthur and Monica Mae Carpenter. Louise married David Forsberg March 5, 1942 in Laurel, NE.

Louise farmed with her husband for many years in the Midwest before retiring to Cape Coral, Florida where they continued to raise their family. They moved to Moses Lake in 1976. She enjoyed spending winters in Florida walking on the beach and collecting seashells. She always made new friends wherever she went. Louise was a very loving and nurturing mother of nine children.

She loved to cook and bake from scratch. She was always looking for a new recipe to try. She was famous for her Sour Cream Raisin Pie and Dill Buns. Louise also enjoyed gardening especially her prized poppies.

Louise made her choice to love and serve the Lord in her youth. She loved to read her Bible and listen to hymns.

Louise is survived by her loving husband, David, one son Vaughn Forsberg and seven daughters Janice (Jim) Henriksen of McMinneville, OR, Cheryl (Eduardo) Aguilar, Gayleen Throop, Debbie Flaugh of Prosser, WA, Janell (Timm) Hathaway of Boise, ID, Pam (John) Stowers and Julie (John) Jones of Genesse, ID. Louise is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister Helen.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, four sisters, a son Douglas, daughter-in-law Jeanne, sons-in-law Terry and Doug, one grandson Joshua and one great granddaughter Ashley.

Her family is very grateful for the loving care she received from Violina, Ivan, and family and Lyubov or "Love," as Louise affectionately called her.

Viewing will be held from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 4 at Kayser's Chapel and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 5. Services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 5 at Kayser's Chapel, followed by interment at Guarding Angels Cemetery, 2595 Road L NE, Moses Lake.
